Originally from Peterborough, Ontario, Rachel holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree in Music Education from Western University and a Masters in Collaborative Piano Performance from the University of Toronto. She also completed her studies through The Royal Conservatory of Music, graduating with an ARCT Diploma in Performance. After spending several years as a professional collaborative pianist in the Greater Toronto Area, she currently works as a music editor for The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory. She is the accompanist for the Canadian Staff Songsters, an amateur choir based in Toronto. In her spare time, Rachel has taken an interest in composition specifically for brass band and choir.
